平庄グループの始まりは、1956年に遡ります。当時は、岩手県釜石市で自社所有の漁船によって生産者としての生業を中心としていましたが、200海里水域制限を機に船を売却し、産地工場と流通業へと事業転換。そして1972年、平野彰助らが先代の意思を受け株式会社平庄の前身となる平庄商店 魚共を創業。1993年からは、株式会社平庄として新たな一歩を踏み出しました。創業当初は決して順風満帆ではありませんでしたが、「従業員の生活を守ること」を第一に考え、企業としてどうあるべきかを常に問い続けてきました。彼が重視していたのは、仲卸という仕事の社会的な役割です。天然資源や生産者の手によって生まれた大切な商品を扱う立場として、自社の利益だけでなく取引先の成果にいかに貢献できるかどうかを考えること。これこそが企業としての信頼を築き、存在意義を確かなものにすると信じてきました。この精神は、今も株式会社平庄の事業運営の根幹に息づいています。時代とともに事業の形が変化しても、「人に尽くし価値を届ける」という姿勢は、これからも変わらず受け継いでいきます。

The Hirasho Group's origins date back to 1956. At the time, the company was mainly engaged in production using its own fishing boat in Kamaishi City, Iwate Prefecture. However with the 200-nautical-mile waterway restriction in place, the company sold the boat and shifted its business to a local factory and distribution business. In 1972, Shosuke Hirano and others followed the aspirations of their predecessors and founded Hirasho Shoten and Uotomo, the predecessors of Hirasho Co., Ltd. In 1993, we took a new step forward as Hirasho Co., Ltd. Although things were not all smooth sailing when we first started, we always put "the well-being of our employees" first and continued to ask ourselves what kind of company we should be. We placed importance on was the social role of the wholesale business. As a company that handles valuable products derived from natural resources and made by local producers, we must consider how we can contribute not only to our own profits but also to the success of our business partners. We have always believed that this is what will build trust as a company and ensure its raison d'être. This spirit still lies at the core of Hirasho Co., Ltd.'s business operations. Even as the nature of our business changes with the times, our attitude of "serving people and delivering value" will remain unchanged going forward.
